Welcome back! Today I am sharing a card I made especially for a challenge over at the Shabby Tea Room I have loved this blog for a long time however always admired from afar. I couldn’t resist playing along this week because I don’t think I have EVER used mauve on a card!! That’s what challenges are about, right?! I have distressed some G45 flowers and combined them with some Kaiser paper and a touch of liquid pearls to put this one together. I have added some lace along the bottom as per challenge rules too. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for looking! See you next time!!
Hi again, I have been busy making a cover for my new journal. I used the mid year collection by Prima, of course! I loved this the moment I saw it! Had so much fun fussy cutting the butterflies etc. I love how it turned out, even though I probably could have stopped embellishing a loooong time ago hee hee. Entered in Prima PPP for October month. Thanks for looking!!
I’ve had such a hectic month being away, but I am determined to find more time for Prima!! I have been practising my lettering a LOT especially after learning so much in my Tampa workshops I was excited to add a personal touch to this journal 🙂 I am using this journal to jot ideas and wishes for our house which we have recently moved in to. Clippings, pamphlets, just whatever takes my fancy. In the small house I built on the front, I doodled the house front and added a little colour. I used something blue, cartographer and plenty of my resins! The flowers were a mix and match from my stash.. forever growing I tell you!!
Totally made a mess of submitting my files this month, I hope this is third time lucky! Oops.
Anyhow, I wanted to use some of my favourite little products, even if they came from different collections.. I have a touch of Princess by Jodie Lee, (can you find the 2 adorable paperclips?) Cartographer, Something Blue which were all from the latest Winter CHA release. We played with these long before they were available to the public *squeal* all because I attended Art Venture!! How cool is that. I can’t express enough, if you are a Prima lover (let’s face it, who doesn’t admire the gorgeousness) then you MUST save up for this little adventure.. it is totally worth it!!
Ok, back to my PPP. I found it difficult to go GREEN with this card but I snuck enough in, I think.. This pic below is my card and below that is Prima’s inspiration board. The lady is such a pretty addition! I love her and have waited to feature this resin for ages!
Thanks for looking!
Well, I kinda got messssssy making this little number. Once again, it’s a far cry from my love of pastel. I’ve really got a thing for all shades of brown lately. Maybe it’s the influence of so many sensational “fall” projects, plus it is great to try different styles and colours, hey? Anyway, I hope you like it and thank you SOOOOO much for coming to have a squizz!
Don’t forget if you’re looking for some talent, head over to Prima’s blog and wow yourself over there!!! Byes x
I’ve never won a PPP or BAP from Prima before woot!
Inspired by my recent Prima NZ retreat, I opted for something waaaay out of my usual pastels and pushed a few boundaries of my own along the way. Finn inspired. Apologies for the photo, this pic was taken on my phone.. gah.
Don’t forget to have a squizz at the other entries too!
